Private Lessons

Gene Nastri Community School of Music offers private lessons for a variety of instruments, including violin, viola, cello, piano, voice, guitar, and various wind and brass instruments. All ages are welcome. In order for students to make progress on their instrument and minimize frustration, especially for beginners, we highly recommend weekly lessons. 

Lesson Policies

  • All new students must submit a registration form. 
  • An annual $30 registration fee is due each September, or when starting lessons. The registration fee helps pay for staff and overhead costs.
  • A $15 recital fee is due 2 weeks before each recital. The recital participation fee helps cover recital costs. Recitals are generally held twice a year. *Please note that registration and recital fees are nonrefundable.

Payment: Tuition is charged on a monthly basis. Tuition for all lessons scheduled in a month must be paid for by the first lesson of the month, or no later than the 10th of the month. We prefer online payment; however, payment may also be made by check and mailed to our PO Box. If tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee is applied to the account. Tuition not paid by the end of a month will result in the suspension of lessons until the account is current. 

We follow the Mukilteo School District calendar. Lessons are offered when school is in session, and breaks are observed during school district holidays. We recommend starting lessons at the beginning of a month. New students are welcome at any time of the year. ​
​​How to pay: When paying tuition online, choose lesson length and number of lessons this month. Only increment the quantity if you are paying for multiple students. Please type student name, day of the week, and start time in the comment section. If your student will take less than the full number of lessons dates available that month, please also type requested dates.

Monthly tuition for 4 weekly lessons:
20 minute lessons - $120.00
30 minute lessons - $160.00
45 minute lessons - $240.00
60 minute lessons - $320.00 ​
