Adventures in Music & Art Camp
Lots of singing and musical games, a wide variety of art projects both inside and outside our park like location of 4 acres in the heart of Mukilteo. Learning music and art basics while have a great time making new friends will keep our campers busy, happy, experiencing the joys of music, art, and providing the background for making future choices. July 10 - 14, 9 am - 12 pm, Age 7 - 10, min.6/max.10. Fee $180. Materials will be provided. Instructors: Gwen Hildenbrand and Shelly Hendrickson.

Masters of Music and Art Camp
Each day will focus on the music and art of masters of a particular time period. An art project based on the work of a famous artist and songs of the same time period by a famous composer. Painting using the techniques of the masters, singing songs of great composers. A fun way to learn music and art history. July 31 – Aug. 4, 9 am – 12 pm, Age 10 and older, min.6/max.10 Fee: $180. Materials will be provided.
Instructors: Gwen Hildenbrand and Shelly Henrickson
Gwen Hildenbrand, piano & voice, BM in vocal performance, WWU, has appeared with the Seattle Chamber Singers, Bellevue Opera Chorus, NW Savoyards, and in several roles at the Everett Historic Theatre. She has been choir director, music director, arranger, and accompanist for a variety of churches and musical theater groups. Gwen studied piano with Dr. Tatiana Benbalit, Moscow Conservatory and Univ. of WA. She has been an accompanist for Edmonds Ballet and Olympic Ballet, also for vocal students of The National Ass’n of Teachers of Singing. She has worked as a Seattle area Dinner Pianist/Vocalist since 1995 and was a member of the Nat’l Ass’n of Teachers of Singing from 1998 – 2008. Currently she is a member of Snohomish County Music Teachers’ Association. Gwen has been a member of the Gene Nastri School faculty, teaching singing and piano since 2001.

Shelly Hendrickson, art, graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and Washington University in St Louis with a Masters in Fine Art. In addition, she studied at the Leo Marchutz School of Painting in Aix-en-Provence, France. Hendrickson is accomplished in a wide variety of media including: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, clay, and woodworking. She is an experienced teacher having taught at all levels from preschool through college. Believing art is central to the joy of living, she strives to build confidence in her students, teaching them how to creatively communicate what they visualize and by providing them with a strong foundation in the techniques and tools of art upon which they can build throughout their lives. Shelly will be teaching a variety of classes for students of all ages at Gene Nastri School this summer.Shelly Hendrickson graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and Washington University in St Louis with a Masters in Fine Art.
